My Journey & Experience
I adopted MongoDB in 2022 to round out my full-stack proficiency in NoSQL database design and complete the MERN stack. Coming from Firebase’s integrated backend-as-a-service model, MongoDB provided invaluable insights into schema design, flexible document collections, aggregation pipelines, and indexing with Mongoose. While I often prefer full-featured cloud solutions that offer native object storage alongside databases, MongoDB gave me a solid appreciation for standalone distributed document databases.
